Level: B1-B2 (Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate)
Duration: 8 weeks | 3 hours per week | 24 hours total

By the end of this course, students will:

Week 1: Sport Heroes and Role Models

  • Case Study: Should athletes be role models for children?
  • Role-Play: Interview a sports hero (student plays journalist, then switches)
  • Focus Skills: Describing people, expressing admiration, past achievements, superlatives

Key Speaking Tasks:

  • Describe your personal sports hero and why they inspire you
  • Compare two famous athletes from different eras
  • Discuss what makes someone a good role model

Week 2: How to Train Like a Champion

  • Vocabulary: To push yourself, mental toughness, to set goals, consistency, recovery time, nutrition plan, strength training, endurance, to stay motivated, setbacks, personal best, to track progress, injury prevention, mindset, coaching
  • Case Study: Amateur wanting to complete first marathon – training plan advice

Week 4: Winning and Losing

Week 6: Technology in My Daily Life

Week 8: Food, Restaurants, and Eating Habits

  • Case Study: Friend wanting to change eating habits but lacking motivation
